What is DISC?
Improve Individual Performance and Group Dynamics with Certified DISC Coach Training
DISC is a behavior assessment tool, not a personality test, based on the DISC theory developed by lawyer and psychologist William Moulton Marston. First published in 1928, Marston’s book Emotions of Normal People explained that people show us “who they are” with behaviors that he categorized as Decisive, Interactive, Stabilizing, and Cautious.
The DISC assessment, based upon Marston’s work, was later developed by Walter Clarke in 1956.
Today, it is the gold-standard tool for behavioral assessments. Mastering the language of DISC and how to properly interpret the results has become an influential skill set that HR leaders, coaches, consultants, and agilists use in all industries from A to Z. With this knowledge, they can help others address predictable conflict, develop respect for diversity among behavioral styles, and create more effective relationships.
Successfully completing Certified DISC Coach training will equip you with the tools to create meaningful connections and make sound hiring decisions using a language that is gender, background, and race-neutral. You’ll gain a whole new perspective on how you and other people interact to form better personal and professional relationships. Ready to get certified?
